Mader Queensland: Celebrating 10 Years of Growth
News and Trends
Mader Queensland marks 10 years of delivering heavy equipment maintenance across QLD and NSW. Discover our growth, milestones, and commitment to supporting Australia’s mining industry.

Mader Queensland’s decade-long story of grit, growth, and the people who built our presence across Australia’s East Coast.

Mader Queensland opened its doors in February 2016, with a small team and a determination to bring Mader’s proven expertise from Western Australia to Australia’s East Coast. Ten years on, that ambition has evolved into a trusted operation supporting mining, civil and infrastructure clients across the entire of the eastern states.

From the start, the focus was simple: show up, work hard, and deliver. The same mindset that drives Mader globally.

In the first few months, momentum grew quickly, with demand pulling the team north to Mackay. This set the tone for a business built on showing up where our customers need us most.

As a team, we went where we were needed, building relationships site by site and shift by shift. That willingness to turn up, no matter the location, no matter the challenge drove us as a business.

Today, Mader Queensland has offices across Brisbane, Mackay and Singleton, with field service teams and fleet vehicles supporting customers across the entire East Coast. Over the past decade, the business has grown into a workforce of hundreds of highly skilled technicians, providing heavy equipment maintenance, shutdown support and on-site field service wherever the job takes us.

Over the years, we’ve faced significant challenges that the team has met head on – one of the biggest being the pandemic. During that period, our team stepped up and adapted quickly, relocating operations to better support field crews and customers with minimal disruptions. Eastern Australia General Manager Phil Saunders played a key role in leading the team through uncertainty and continuing to steer the region forward with renewed focus.

This growth has been supported by strengthening the leadership team. In 2022, Jeremy McNeil joined the team, bringing strong local insight to the NSW region. In early 2025, one of the original Mader Queensland team members, Dan Forster, was appointed Queensland General Manager, a milestone that marked a full-circle moment for the region.

Business has continued to go from strength to strength, with training and upskilling pathways expanding across QLD and NSW. Our capability has also broadened to include road transport maintenance across the entire east coast, complementing our core services.

To everyone who’s been part of these 10 years: thank you. Your grit and commitment built this chapter, and with the next one already underway, we’re ready to keep doing what we do best: showing up, working hard, and moving forward.
