Kijilamatambo Primary School, Solwezi Zambia
Mader’s involvement with the Solwezi community dates back to 2017, when we initially engaged with the Solwezi Round Table through the Rotary of Solwezi whilst operating in the region. Following this, we proudly sponsored the construction of a classroom block with construction completed in 2018. Fast forward to today, the Kijilamatambo school has grown from 400 students in 2017, to now providing education for over 1,000 eager minds – with only two toilets on the premises, used by students, faculty, and the wider community.
Recognising the potential to enhance their school experience and overall community wellbeing, Mader embarked on a ground-breaking project with Kansanshi PLC and First Quantum Minerals (FQM) to construct a solar-powered ablution block. The six-toilet block features a solar-powered water pumping system and bore, which is a reliable and sustainable source for flushing toilets. This substantial improvement is more than just a physical upgrade; it’s a significant boost to the overall hygiene, sanitation, and wellbeing of the school community.

Habitat for Humanity
Mader supported HME High Voltage Electrician, Pauline on her second build with Habitat Australia to Nepal. Habitat for Humanity is a leading not-for-profit provider of housing for low-income families in need. Habitat works in thousands of communities worldwide and has built and repaired over 1 million homes.
As well as building homes, Habitat works in partnership with families to supply clean water and sanitation, livelihood training, health education to build long term sustainable communities. By supporting Habitat for Humanity, we give a ‘hand up’ to families and communities in need in their projects across the Asia Pacific.
