Mader is proud to have volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities for the past six years.
When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) step in to provide a range of programs that help families access the care their children need, while ensuring they can remain together when it matters most.
Thanks to the incredible volunteer program, we’ve been partnering with our friends at RMHC for the past six years through ‘Home for Dinner.’ This program opens the door for volunteers to cook homemade meals for families facing tough times, providing them with comfort and support during their stay at RMHC.
Our teams worldwide have embraced the opportunity to participate in multiple sessions at RMHC houses in Perth and Brisbane, Australia, as well as Denver, Colorado, in the United States and in Calgary, Canada.
From the moment they arrive, the experience deeply impacts our teams. They begin with a tour of the house and its facilities before diving into the kitchen. Then, under the guidance of an experienced House Chef, our participants don their chef hats and tie their aprons, getting hands-on to cook hearty meals for the families staying at the house.
Courtney, a recent participant at the RMHC Nedlands House in Perth, said that the experience was both uplifting and emotional.
“Gaining insight into the lives of families with sick children was inspiring. Witnessing their strength, it was so rewarding to be able to provide them with a home-cooked dinner after their long day,” she said.
Participating in the RMHC Home for Dinner program is just one arm of Mader’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, with the extent of our involvement reaching far and wide.
