Pivotal to Mader Group’s strategy to diversify across multiple industry verticals, we have expanded into the rail sector to deliver maintenance services and support throughout the mining industry and beyond.
In response to the growing demand for rail maintenance support, our Rail Services division was launched in 2021. What began as a small crew of 35 has since grown into a robust team comprising of over 80 dedicated technicians, all with expertise in machine repairs, breakdowns, and track maintenance.
Today, we operate in five states across Australia, with projects extending from Western Australia to the Northern Territory, South Australia, NSW and Queensland. This remarkable trajectory highlights our commitment to excellence and innovation in serving the rail sector.
We now provide quality maintenance solutions for the rail freight and transport industry, with a team of highly trained and experienced technicians that provide end-to-end solutions. The team are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to carry out servicing, inspections, overhauls, coded welding, Alumothermic welding, track renewals, track replacement, general track work and component rebuilds.
Since their establishment back in 2021, there have been two notable projects where our Rail services team have succeeded expectations.
Maintenance Contract
Mader’s Rail Services team proudly announces the successful acquisition of a maintenance contract for a significant client.
Having commenced in February 2024, this contract involves a 12-month venture with a dedicated 10-man team. Our role primarily involves the maintenance of the Ballast cleaner, a vital component for our client’s operations. We provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical support, as well as on-track breakdown assistance.
This project signifies a milestone in our collaboration with tier-one industry leaders, demonstrating our expertise and reliability in providing essential rail maintenance services.
Stacker and Reclaimer Welding Project
Another feather in our cap is the recent win of a Stacker and Reclaimer rail welding job at a newbuild minesite in Western Australia. Equipped with three Alumothermic welders per crew, working back to back, and a fully stocked up tool truck, our team is poised to deliver exceptional welding services. Scheduled for completion by May 2024, this project marks our venture into track maintenance, showcasing our intent to expand our footprint within the sector.
Notably, Mader Rail Services stands out as the sole recipient of this major ongoing rail welding job. All stackers and reclaimers at this site will benefit from Mader’s precision and reliability in welded rail solutions.
These projects underscore Mader Rail Services’ unwavering commitment to delivering excellence in rail maintenance services. As we continue to forge partnerships and explore new avenues for growth, our dedication to quality and innovation remains firm.
