The Mader Infrastructure crew has wrapped up our first-ever government electrical projects tender, delivering a major electrical upgrade at the Midvale Speed Dome.
The job was no small feat. The team completed works switching out switchboards and submains before installing 12 new switchboards and 14 new submains to help keep the venue powered for years to come.
With a crew of expert electricians and IRATA rope access technicians working side by side, we tackled the job from every angle. Using rope access services instead of traditional scaffolding meant we could safely reach difficult areas without the time, cost and headaches that come with building scaffold. Less setup, less downtime and a whole lot less disruption for the people using the facility.
Over the three-month project, the crew removed the old gear and installed the new infrastructure while keeping the Speed Dome up and running. By keeping the site operational, we helped minimise interruptions and got the job done faster without compromising on safety or quality.
For the Electrical Projects team, this was a milestone. The first of many government tenders and another chance to demonstrate our ability to deliver high-quality electrical projects, electrical installations and infrastructure maintenance services beyond the mining industry, supporting community infrastructure across Western Australia and beyond.
