2025 was another incredible year for our internal adventure division Three Gears, with an action-packed calendar of events that brought teams, partners and families together in ways big and small.
From adrenaline-fuelled outdoor adventures to skills workshops, cultural experiences, festive celebrations and unforgettable social gatherings, Three Gears delivered something for everyone across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
A Year of Adventure & Exploration
In 2025, the Three Gears calendar offered a thrilling mix of outdoor and adventure-style experiences, taking teams to some of the most breathtaking locations:
- Island Escapes & Wilderness Adventures: Teams embraced nature with multi-day journeys on Moreton Island, Fraser Island, and Stradbroke Island, while Queenstown in New Zealand hosted an exciting two-night adventure.
- Fishing & Water Adventures: From fishing charters across Australia and the USA to white water rafting and paddle excursions in Canada, there was no shortage of fun on the water.
- Heli Canyoning & Floating Rivers: Canadian landscapes provided bucket-list experiences like heli-canyoning and scenic river floats.
Challenges, Skills & Team Building
2025 also featured a dynamic lineup of experiences designed to strengthen team culture, build new skills and inject a bit of friendly competition:
- Adrenaline & Precision – Participants tested their skills with 4WD tag-alongs, clay target shooting, archery trails, axe throwing, paintball battles and racing on outdoor go-kart circuits.
- Creative Classes & Workshops – Members enjoyed hands-on experiences including pasta making, BBQ master classes, gin making, barista courses, and welding workshops.
- Sports & Active Adventures – From ice hockey classes, ninja warrior-style obstacle courses, Topgolf fun days and ski trips, there was plenty to keep active minds and bodies moving.
Family & Social Days
At the heart of Three Gears remains its focus on fun, connection and community. 2025 delivered an array of family-friendly and social events to get loved ones involved:
- Family Fun Days – Including aqua park outings, mini golf, trampoline parks, obstacle courses, and themed seasonal activities like Halloween ice skating.
- Food, Drinks & Festivals – Beers & bites gatherings, rooftop movie nights, pub crawls, sunset cruises and local winery tours with partners created countless shared moments.
- Celebrations Across Regions – Christmas parties, team catch-ups and cultural days brought teams together with festive spirit and shared joy in every state and territory.
Global Gatherings & Partner Events
Our international events extended the Three Gears experience to global team members and their partners too:
- Canada championed a year of excitement with white water rafting, rockies adventure days, and dedicated partner events that built stronger relationships.
- USA offerings included calm days on the water with wakeboat and pontoon outings, fishing charters and thrilling skydiving experiences.
Looking Ahead
2025 was a year of connection, collaboration and celebration, energising teams, rewarding effort, and creating stories that will inspire participation in years to come. Whether it was mastering a new skill, conquering a challenge, or sharing a cold drink with colleagues old and new, Three Gears continued to bring out the best in our people.
