For a third year in a row, Mader are proud to announce the successful completion of the 2025 Intro to Mining Tools for Life Program.

After a hugely successful run in 2024, Mader’s Intro to Mining Tools for Life youth engagement program returned this year, wrapping up another inspiring round last week.

Over two days, students from local high schools were welcomed into the Mader Maintenance Centre, where they gained first-hand exposure to the mining industry. Guided by experienced Mader professionals, students took part in interactive learning sessions, uncovering what it takes to build a career in the sector and experiencing life inside a live workshop environment.

Theresa Jennings, Career Practitioner at Armadale Senior High School, has been bringing her students along for the past three years, saying:

‘I have only the most positive things to say about the ‘Mader Tools for Life’ Program. We have a large number of students who are interested in the Heavy Diesel Industry, so a look at a real-life situation is so valuable for them. Thank you. ‘

Across the sessions, students participated in a range of hands-on activities, from an in-depth workshop tour to conducting inspections on a mine-spec Mader ute and operating a 5-tonne crane to understand how heavy loads are safely lifted and moved.

Each participant walked away with a certificate of completion and a deeper understanding of the many pathways available across the mining and maintenance industries.

Mader’s Intro to Mining sessions form part of the broader Tools for Life CSR initiative, which empowers young people by providing them with the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience they need to shape their future careers.
